<description>[...] There are a wide range of eco and renewable products designed to help reduce carbon emissions and help households reduce their running costs. With the government aiming to cut the UK’s carbon emissions by 80%, compared to the carbon emission levels of 1990, by 2050 the need for heating and plumbing technologies that have a small carbon footprint is growing. Such technologies include Biomass boilers fueled by renewable biomass derived from living organism such as wood and other organic waste from agricultural and industrial processes and are regarded as the most efficient boilers available.  As well as this there are boiler like the baxi ecogen Micro CHP boilers capable of generating 1kw of electricity as well as heating and providing hot water for the home. The Baxi Ecogen will not only help reduce a homes carbon foot print but also the householders electricity bills as any unused electricity generated can be sold to their supplier through the feed-in tariff. Also there are technologies that take advantage of readily available and free sources of energy such as solar and geothermal with the use of ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps and solar panels.
